Inspired by Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Makinde is the story of a young British graduate of West African royal descent, who on the eve of his honeymoon, is summoned back to his West African homeland. The piece seeks to highlight the conflict of love and loyalty and the role of the supernatural in contemporary Nigeria.
