New Writing
Please note: we are currently NOT accepting unsolicited scripts. Please do not send material to us until advised otherwise. From May 2010 the company will enter an interregnum between Artistic Directors and any scripts sent to us will not be read.
Tiata Fahodzi has a proven track record in seeking the best new writing. We have well-established developmental processes for new scripts. We take care to nurture, encourage and support our writers.
As well as full productions of our new commissions we provide a platform for work in development. Our ‘performance readings’ at Tiata Delights festivals are highly popular with the public and the theatre industry and regularly lead to our featured writers being taken on by other companies. In recent years, to name only a couple of successes, Levi David Addai’s Oxford Street (Tiata Delights 07) was produced at the Royal Court Theatre and Michael Bhim’s Pure Gold (Tiata Delights 06) was produced by Talawa and Soho Theatre.
