NEW TEAM & TRUSTEE BOARD HELM TIATA FAHODZI IN ANTICIPATION OF 25TH ANNIVERSARY & NEW ARTISTIC PROGRAMME

Asma Hussain is announced as Executive Director, Asma’s previous roles include Trusts & Foundations Manager at the Royal Opera House and Development Manager at Theatre Royal Stratford East.
Katy Silverton, takes the role of Administration Manager; Katy has a passion for new writing and produced Start Nights at Hampstead Theatre, as well as helping develop and commission young writers.
Mandeep Gill becomes Finance Manager; Mandeep has worked with many small to medium-sized non-profits spanning arts, education, and violence against women and girls sectors.
Zaylie Wilson is the new Fundraising Manager; Zaylie specialises in engagement and fundraising, working with artists, young people, communities and audiences both in the UK and internationally.
Esther-Rennae Walker becomes our Freelance Producer; Esther-Rennae was recently selected to be part of Nouveu Riche’s 2022 Associate Artist programme where she’ll be developing her first solo project for stage.
Taiwo Ava Oyebola is the new Executive Assistant; Taiwo graduated from the University of Oxford in 2020. In 2021 Taiwo was selected for the Anthem Writing Programme for Black writers, writing a one act play, See You Whenever, to be showcased as part of Anthem Live at the Almeida Theatre in February.
New Trustees joined in September 2021, including West Midlands writer, director and curator Sampira Willborne, family law solicitor and actress Sherma Polidore-Perrins, founder and creative director of Museum of Colour Samenua Sesher, British-Ghanaian performer, singer and voiceover artist Amy Rockson, Creative Producer Alisha Artry, lead producer for Tamasha Theatre Company Debo Adebayo and Director of People & Operations for the Creative UK Group Caroline Hinds.
They join the current Joint-Chair of Trustees and Deputy Executive Director at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester Deborah Sawyerr, Joint-Chair and CEO of the Royal Literary Fund Edward Kemp, solicitor at Fremantlemedia UK Elouise Mantle and Head of Finance at Transaid Worldwide Services Mwiza Mkandawire.
